Saturday October 20th, travel back in time with Gateway Ghost Tours to the town of Pilot Point with saloons and cowboys just off the tail and a known hideout for the Barrow Gang aka Bonnie and Clyde. Walk the square with psychic on Duty Cindy Ross as she introduces you to the paranormal happenings in this charming little town. When the sun sets the nightlife begins with the spirits of the ghostly kind! Pilot Point got its start as a big ranching community and can trace its roots back to the mid 1800’s. 9 saloons once populated the town’s square all at one time! Gangsters, gunfights and rowdy cowboys made for a lively town with only the law of the West in charge. Bullet holes can still be found in the walls from gunfights and chandeliers that move on there own from a bygone era of Texas history. The paranormal fun starts at 7:00 p.m. at the gazebo on the square. Many of the shops on the square will be open for the group to venture inside to get a feel of the the ghostly energy! The iconic bank building now an antique shop dating back to the late 1800’s (used in the Bonnie and Clyde movie with Warren Beatty and Faye Dunaway) will open for us. Also many of the shops including the General Store and Notoriously Yours fashion boutique both were known saloons will allow us to visit inside.
This is a hands on and interactive ghost tour with the psychic tour guide who will help the group understand why certain spirits still linger. Ghost tourist will get to use the tools of the trade with ghost meters, pendulums and dowsing rods. These devices allow for confirmation and communication with the ghosts who wish to be recognized. Bring your cameras and have your cell phones charged and ready for you will be able to capture the paranormal phenomenon. Just in the few times I have been on the seen I already captured a distinct EVP (electronic voice phenomenon) telling me they were “Here!”
I do highly recommend a couple of places in town to eat before the tour:
Pedro’s Tex-Mex & Grill At 209 S Washington St., Pilot Point (Margarita was so good!)
Magnolia Station At 110 E Liberty St., Pilot Point (Old gas station walk up food stand with 30 years experience, out of this world chicken sandwich!)
